PCI Audit: A Payment Card Industry (PCI) audit is an assessment of an organization’s adherence to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). The audit involves a review of an organization’s security practices and systems to ensure that they meet the standards set by the PCI DSS. PCI audits are mandatory for all organizations that accept credit card payments.
